Delivery & Courier Policy
This policy explains South African courier charges, international delivery, address requirements, dispatch, tracking and delivery responsibilities.
1. Scope
This policy applies to delivery of Designer Stoles orders placed through the website, WhatsApp or an agreed custom-order process.
Delivery timing begins after payment has been received and verified and, where applicable, after final design approval.
2. South African Courier Charge
A standard courier charge of R250.00 applies to deliveries within South Africa and is automatically added to the basket and PDF invoice total.
The standard charge is based on ordinary parcel delivery. Remote-area surcharges, re-delivery charges, unusually large group orders or special handling may require a revised quotation. Any additional amount will be communicated before it is charged.
3. International Delivery
Designer Stoles may deliver internationally. International courier is not included in the initial basket or invoice total.
- The customer must select “Another country / International” and enter the destination country.
- Amanda will calculate and communicate the courier charge separately.
- Import duties, customs charges, taxes, clearance fees or local handling charges imposed by the destination country are for the customer’s account unless expressly agreed otherwise in writing.
- International dispatch will proceed after all agreed charges have been paid and verified.
4. Delivery Address
The customer must provide a complete and accurate delivery address, including street address, suburb, town or city, province or state, postal code and country.
The customer must notify Amanda immediately if an address must be corrected. Additional costs caused by incorrect address information, failed delivery or requested redirection may be charged where lawful and reasonable.
5. Processing and Dispatch
Standard-stock items are dispatched once payment has been verified and the order is ready. Custom or made-to-order stoles are dispatched after completion and quality inspection.
6. Tracking and Delivery Confirmation
Where the courier provides tracking information, Designer Stoles will send it to the customer by WhatsApp or email. The customer should monitor tracking and ensure that an authorised person is available to receive the parcel.
7. Risk and Inspection
Goods remain at the supplier’s risk until delivery is accepted by the customer or authorised recipient, subject to applicable law.
The customer should inspect the parcel promptly and photograph visible courier damage before discarding packaging.
8. Delays and Unavailable Goods
Courier delays, customs processing, severe weather, infrastructure failures or other events beyond reasonable control may affect delivery. Designer Stoles will communicate material delays when known.
If an item cannot be supplied, Designer Stoles will contact the customer to arrange a replacement, revised timeline or refund as applicable.
